# Bridge IndexNow

> Announce changed pages instead of waiting to be revisited. See what automatic submission covers, which engines take part, and why Google is not one.

Bridge IndexNow is the IndexNow submission mechanism of Bridge CDN, not a separate product. Automatic submission covers discovered and changed URLs only; enabling it imports no history; full-site submission is manual. Bing and Yandex receive submissions by default; Seznam, Naver and Yep take part when enabled. Google does not participate in IndexNow and receives nothing from it.

## What automatic submission covers

- Discovered and changed URLs only; enabling it imports no history, and full-site submission is manual.
- Bing and Yandex receive submissions by default, with nothing to configure.
- Seznam, Naver and Yep take part when you enable them.
- A key is served at /<key>.txt on your own hostname, from the edge.

## How a submission is sent

- A submission can also be made by hand, in one action, without leaving the platform.
- There are three submission modes. Fallback submits each URL once and retries the next engine only on failure; Balance spreads URLs across the enabled engines, one engine per URL; All Engines submits every URL to every enabled engine, which is redundant by design.
- The allowance is counted per engine rather than per site or per batch, so the mode decides how many addresses that allowance turns into.
- Every submission is recorded: the address, the engine, the mode, the time, and whether the endpoint accepted it. A refusal is recorded the same way as an acceptance.

## What this does not do

- Google does not participate in IndexNow and receives nothing from it.
- Submission is not indexing: an engine decides on its own criteria whether to crawl, index or rank.
- Announcing an entire site is a manual action, not something that happens on its own.
